Azerbaijan Fashion Week

Hello everyone,
Last week was quite exciting because there was a great event "Azerbaijan Fashion Week". I, obviously, was there to see our designers and the ones who came from other countries.
First designer that I want to talk about is Georges Mak, Lebanese designer from France. I absolutely fell in love with his works. It's just art. It reminds of Zuhair Murad and Elie Saab. Glamour and gorgeousness itself. Very feminine and sexy. If you haven't heard of him, then check him out.
Another guest designer that I want to talk about was Aynur Turisbek from Kazakhstan, very modern collection, all black colours, very interesting and bold collection. Also there were great designers like Alexandre Delima, Datuna from Georgia, Julia Aysina from Ukraine.
From Azerbaijani designers I want to point out Gunel Behbudova and Libas couture. Being honest, I didn't expect such great works.
Later, I'll post an interview with Georges Mak that I took. Being a fashion junkie it was great to have a compliment about my style from a person making such beautiful pieces as he does.
I want to thank everyone who made it happen. L'officiel Azerbaijan, Fairmont hotel, Ambassade de la Beauté, Mac, #FridayAz for photos and many other individuals.
I include photos of me with Georges Mac, me at backstage, wedding dress by Gunel Behbudova, wedding dress by Libas Couture worn by special guest amazing Lyubov Gutorova, and a dress by Georges Mak. I have also posted videos from a couple of catwalks on my instagram.

Enjoy!

How to clean out your closet

Hello everyone!

Summer is coming, and most of us will be buying new clothes, updating our wardrobes. Most of us have a problem of nothing to wear and I think it's time for a closet clean out, it will help with "nothing to wear" problem and will make some space for new clothes. I'm doing it twice a year: in autumn and spring. So now it's time for one.
Step 1. Take everything out
So, first thing first is takig everything out of your wardrobe, every single thing. Put away all your stuff that you won't be wearing during spring and summer, warm coats, winter shoes, warm sweaters and winter accessories such as scarves, gloves and hats. Also before putting them out make sure that everything is clean.
Step 2. Sort everything out and put back on hangers
You can sort clothes in: donate, throw out, and keep piles.
Before putting clothes on hangers ask yourself a couple of questions:
Does it fit? - If not, but you really love this item, can you tailor it, if not donate.
Have you worn this item in the past year? - If not, donate or throw out.
Is it damaged? - If yes, throw out, or if it can be fixed does it worth doing it or is it easier to buy a new thing.
Does it represent my style and do I want to wear it? If not, donate it.
So when you sorted everything before putting clothes on hangers look on the hangers, throw away cheap plastic ones, because they are actually bad for your clothes. Invest in some good ones and they will help your clothes live longer and will look more neat in your closet.
Step 3. Go shopping and have fun!

Tips:

  • Organise your closet the way you like, it may be colour wise or any other useful to you way.
  • After cleaning out, look at your clothes and write down everything that you need in your wardrobe, those clothing basics that you don't have and use this list during your future shopping session.
  • Use shelf dividers and organisers.
  • Do not forget to go through your shoes and accessories
